The work I do considers the things we have in and around the spaces we live and work in – what makes them useful or desirable, and how they all fit together to say something about who we are.
I’m inspired by the cross-pollination between fashion, design and décor. The tension between old and new. The contrast between machine moulded, mass produced product and the personality revealed in hand crafted objects.
Some shoots are about creating stories around the images that hint at a world beyond the frame of the picture. Others are simply about finding the beauty in an object’s form. I like to play with scale and context and use ordinary objects in unusual ways. I enjoy designing and making things.
With a background in graphic design and art direction I’ve been producing media in various forms for well over a decade, and I still think I’ve got a cool job.
